So I was reading one of those magazines that I love so much, not going to mention the name because they all pretty much contain the same stuff.
I began happily reading, and most of the articles are short which is great because that is pretty much my attention span, and as I got further into the magazine I began to wonder, am I FAT? Am I DEPRESSED and do I need to be on a DIET? Should I be a mom who is always cooking cakes? The reason that I ask this is because I was reading about Kate Middleton and the diet that she was on before her wedding and I got real excited because she looks great - although a little too thin for my likes, but she is gorgeous. Then on the next pages, actually on the next several pages their were several recipies for delicious looking cakes, etc..... sending mixed messages. Then most of the advertisements were for DEPRESSION MEDICATION........
I know that I am NOT depressed - at least rarely depressed - lets face it that happens to everyone from time to time and that is completely normal. I am NOT fat and I don't really need to be on a diet but was wondering if many women / moms are? After all, magazines would not write about things that people did not want to read about. And the funny things is, I still like to and will continue to read these magazines, and I will have all of the resources at my finger tips if I would happen to need them.
Happy Reading!
